What a night at Barberstown Castle, Straffan, Co Kildare, where over 190 young members enjoyed a truly memorable Junior Hunt Ball in the castle’s magnificent medieval banquet hall. The atmosphere was electric from the outset, with a very competitive game of Heads & Tails setting the tone before the dancing well and truly broke loose.![]()
Young people attended from Pony Clubs across Ireland, including Tipperary, Wexford, Limerick and Newcastle Lyons, along with friends from the wider eventing community. The dance floor stayed full all night and the energy never dipped — a wonderful celebration organised by Tamso Doyle Cox, Gillian Walsh and Una Holohan.![]()
Kildare Hunt Pony Club DC Una Holohan said: “It was wonderful to see the teenagers looking so well dressed and displaying such great manners. The energy and fun in the room were lovely, and it can be hard to find opportunities for teenagers to socialise.
